Building Entrepreneurial Capacity Across Pakistan’s Higher Education Sector
The National Summit for Entrepreneurial Educators is a flagship capacity-building initiative led by Superior University in partnership with the Association of Private Sector Universities of Pakistan (APSUP), with institutional support from the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC), and Sindh Higher Education Commission (Sindh HEC). Organized under the Consortium of Entrepreneurship, the summit was designed to strengthen entrepreneurship education at a national scale by empowering educators with contemporary pedagogical tools and applied entrepreneurial frameworks.
The summit responds to a critical gap in higher education: while entrepreneurship is increasingly embedded in curricula, many educators lack formal training in experiential teaching, venture mentoring, and outcome-based assessment. This initiative directly addresses that gap by equipping faculty members with action-based teaching methodologies, entrepreneurial mindset development, and practice-oriented assessment approaches.

Purpose and Educational Focus
The National Summit focuses on transforming educators into certified entrepreneurship facilitators rather than traditional lecturers. The training programs emphasize:
Experiential and practice-driven teaching methods
Design thinking and opportunity evaluation
Entrepreneurial assessment aligned with real venture outcomes
Classroom-to-startup integration
Mentoring students toward startup and scale-up readiness
Rather than replicating institutional models, the summit enables participating universities to contextualize and adapt entrepreneurial pedagogy within their own academic environments
Faculty Excellence and Knowledge Transfer
A distinctive strength of the National Summit is the quality of its trainers. Sessions are led by certified entrepreneurship educators, including faculty trained through Babson College–aligned methodologies, bringing global best practices into Pakistan’s higher education ecosystem.
Participants do not merely receive training; they engage in peer learning, curriculum reflection, and applied teaching simulations. This ensures long-term transfer of learning rather than one-time exposure.
National Chapters and Reach
The National Summit has been successfully delivered through two major national chapters, expanding its reach across key academic regions of Pakistan.
